COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Behringer-Crawford Museum presents "Ice, Ice Mammoths," a day full of ice-age family friendly fun FREE to the public as part of its Super Sundays Family Programming.
This program will feature guest presenters, including archaeologist Jeannine Kreinbrink and State of Kentucky Naturalist Todd Young who will share the mysteries of Big Bone Lick State Park and its important role in the Ice Age.
Due to their generosity, one free Sunday per month offering admission to the museum and family friendly programs continues through June 2012.
The first event is scheduled for Sunday, January 22 at 1 p.m. Tickets are first come, first served.
There will be hands-on demonstrations and displays of American Indian hunting tools including an atlatl, bone and stone hand-worked tools, flint knapping items and more.
Admission to the museum and all activities that day are free to the public and are sponsored by a grant from The Greater Cincinnati Foundation and from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. / US Bank Foundation Northern Kentucky Fund and the Northern Kentucky Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
