Nominations now being accepted for Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky | Business
ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) - Toyota, the lead sponsor of the Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky awards, is announcing that nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 Awards program. The awards celebrate women who have demonstrated leadership in their home, their profession, or in their community. The old Kentucky Post newspaper had been the lead sponsor of the annual program and luncheon since the award was first presented in 1985. Toyota became the lead sponsor of the program in 2008. NKU, Thomas More and Gateway continue as education partners and help recognize Outstanding Women at the collegiate level.
"It is so important that this program continue," said Helen Carroll, manager of community relations for the automaker's manufacturing headquarters in Erlanger. "This special recognition for women in Northern Kentucky is critical to the continued growth and encouragement of women to make a difference in our community.
In 2012, the Outstanding Women award will celebrate 28 years of honoring more than 135 women for distinguished service in their professions or to the Northern Kentucky community and who exhibit qualities of personal integrity, perseverance, and leadership.
The deadline to submit a nomination is December 16, 2011.
The 2012 Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky luncheon and awards ceremony will be held Friday, April 20, 2012, Noon, at Receptions in Erlanger, KY. Invitations will be available in February.
