Police find stolen truck, now have all property from business theft

CINCINNATI (FOX19) – Delhi Police have found a truck stolen from Allison Landscaping last week, meaning they have now recovered all the property in a theft of a truck and a trailer loaded with lawn equipment.

The police are thanking those who helped them locate the truck, which was found abandoned off Kellogg Avenue by the 275 bridge in Cincinnati's California neighborhood.

They found the trailer and the stolen goods that were in it after their investigation led them to Covington.

They had been looking for a truck, trailer, and yard maintenance machines that were in the trailer since they were stolen earlier in the last week of May.  On Thursday night, May 31st, detectives from Delhi Township located the stolen trailer on John Street in Covington.  Detectives got informaiton and went to the home and saw the trailer and lawn-mowers in the rear yard.  The trimmers, blowers, and accessories were located inside the trailer.

Detectives, working with the Covington Police Department, got a search warrant for the house.  The search warrant produced a number of stolen items from both Delhi and Madeira.

Police believe their suspects may be connected to a multi-jurisdictional theft ring.  The suspects are known, but were not around when the search warrant was conducted.

Between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday into Wednesday(May 29th – May 30th, 2012), one or more suspects stole a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Cab flat-bed truck and enclosed trailer from the lot of Allison Landscaping located at 889 Anderson Ferry Road.  The enclosed trailer contained multiple lawnmowers, blowers, trimmers and the like.

The suspects tried but failed to steal a second truck/trailer combination.  The stolen truck and trailer were caught in surveillance photos.
