FRANKFORT, KY (FOX19) – Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments, includian four Northern Kentuckians, to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has reappointed David E. Schroeder to the State Archives and Records Commission to serve for a term expiring Aug. 14, 2015.
- David E. Schroeder, of Ludlow, is the director of the Kenton County Public Library. He represents the Kentucky Library Association.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Center for the Arts to serve for terms expiring April 29, 2015:
- Alice Sparks, of Crescent Springs, is a homemaker. The appointment replaces Ronald Greenburg, whose term has expired.
- M. Saleem Seyal, of Prospect, is a cardiologist at River Cities Cardiology. The appointment replaces Jane Ramsey, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring April 29, 2015:
- Juliet C. Gray, of Louisville, is a volunteer.
- Bruce Merrick, of Louisville, is the chairman of Dant Clayton Corporation.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Milk Commission to serve for terms expiring Aug. 1, 2015:
- John A. Brooks, of Maysville, is the region manager of Dairy Farmers of America. He represents employee representative of a milk marketing agency or dairy cooperative.
- Glenda Cox, of Glasgow, is an agricultural loan processor for South Central Bank. She represents consumers.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Thomas Edward Riney to the Water Transportation Advisory Board to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Sep. 30, 2012.
- Thomas Edward Riney, of Owensboro, is the president and CEO at Owensboro Riverport. He represents the Commonwealth’s public riverports. The appointment replaces James E. Hunt, who has resigned.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring Sep. 30, 2015:
- Steven E. Alley, of Union, is the director of sales at Ingram Barge Company. He represents members at-large.
- Greg Pritchett, of Henderson, is an executive director at Henderson County Riverport. He represents the Commonwealth’s public riverports.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Thomas W. Miller to the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology to serve for a term expiring May 19, 2015.
- Thomas W. Miller, of Lexington, is a retired licensed psychologist. He represents licensed psychologists.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Stephen Ray Wyatt to the Board of Registration for Professional Geologists to serve for a term expiring July 14, 2015.
- Stephen Ray Wyatt, of Lexington, is a consulting engineer. He represents the public at-large.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Motor Vehicle Commission to serve for terms expiring July 1, 2014:
- Kenneth B. Blanton, of Greenup, is the president of Boyd County Ford Inc. He represents used motor vehicle dealers.
- James D. Sims, of Louisville, is an automobile wholesaler. He represents automobile wholesalers.
- Delbert T. Farmer, of Louisville, is the chief operating officer at Oxmoor Automotive Group. He represents new motor vehicle dealers.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Jacqueline Anne Noonan to the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs to serve for a term expiring Dec. 20, 2014.
- Jacqueline Anne Noonan, of Lexington, is a physician at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Health Care Improvement Authority Board to serve for terms expiring Sep. 6, 2014:
- Connie Gayle White, of Frankfort, is a physician. She represents Kentucky health care providers. The appointment replaces Thomas C. Eustis, whose term has expired.
- Karen C. Jones, of Frankfort, is a resource management analyst for the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training. She represents citizens-at-large. The appointment replaces Thomas C. Robinson, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Animal Control Advisory Board to serve for terms expiring Feb. 26, 2015:
- Douglas K. Johnson, of Lawrenceburg, is self employed. He represents the Kentucky Houndsman Association. The appointment replaces Rob W. Burke, whose term has expired.
- Connie Below Spencer, of Morehead, is a veterinarian at Eagles Landing Pet Hospital. She represents the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association. The appointment replaces Malinda B. Davis, whose term has expired.
- Robert Duncan Caldwell, of Bledsoe, is an animal control officer for Harlan County Fiscal Court. He represents the Kentucky Animal Control Association. The appointment replaces Beckey Jo Reiter, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Madisonville Community College Board of Directors:
- Michael K. Farris, of Dixon, is a retired superintendent. The appointment replaces Joyce Whittinghill, who is deceased. Farris shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 30, 2013.
- Christopher Shawn Noffsinger, of Greenville, is a physical therapist at MS Community Health. The appointment replaces the Rev. Moses Ndlovu, who has resigned. Noffsinger shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Dec. 6, 2013.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Ronnie R. Hampton to the Southeast Community and Technical College Nominating Commission to serve for a term expiring April 15, 2015.
- Ronnie R. Hampton, of Lynch, is a state mine inspector for the Kentucky Department of Mines and Minerals. The appointment replaces Constance E. Owens, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund Board to serve for terms expiring July 15, 2014:
- Richard K. Kessler, of Campbellsville, is a professor at the University of Campbellsville. He represents the Kentucky Academy of Science.
- Franklin D. Fitzpatrick, of Prestonsburg, is a property manager at Fitzpatrick Properties. He represents the Kentucky Chapter of the Nature Conservatory.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Jennifer K. Tucker to the Jefferson Community and Technical College Nominating Commission to serve for a term expiring April 15, 2015.
- Jennifer K. Tucker, of Louisville, is a data analyst at Humana Healthcare Services. The appointment replaces Kathleen M. Write, whose term has expired. Tucker shall serve as chair of the Commission.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Governor’s Scholar Program Board of Directors to serve for terms expiring June 20, 2014:
- R. Alex Rankin, of Goshen, is a business owner. The appointment replaces Alan M. Stein, whose term has expired.
- T. Kevin Flanery, of Louisville, is the president and a senior vice president at Churchill Downs. The appointment replaces Steven P. Sexton, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Jason E. Muench as City Commissioner for the City of Crestview.
- Jason E. Muench, of Crestview, is a supervisor at SWECO.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Emergency Response Commission:
- Aaron Keatley, of Frankfort, is the director of compliance assistance for the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection. He represents the Energy and Environment Cabinet. The appointment replaces Valerie A. Hudson, who has retired. Keatley shall serve for a term expiring April 17, 2013.
- James Anthony “Tony” Richey, of Glasgow, is an emergency management director for Barren County Fiscal Court. He represents business and industry. The appointment replaces James Carroll Locke, whose term has expired. Richey shall serve for a term expiring April 17, 2013.
- Michael Alan Jones, of Lawrenceburg, is an employee of the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs. He represents Gen. Edward W. Tonini, whose term has expired. Jones shall serve for a term expiring April 17, 2013.
- Jack A. Miniard, of Harlan, is a Lt. Colonel for the Kentucky State Police. He represents Kentucky State Police. The appointment replaces Michael R. Sapp, who has resigned. Miniard shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 17, 2012.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the board to serve for terms expiring April 17, 2013:
- Robert N. Francis, of Lexington, is a supervisor for environmental response at the Department of Environmental Protection. He represents the Energy and Environment Cabinet.
- Wendell R. Hatfield, of Lancaster, is an EMA/EMS director for Garrard County Fiscal Court. He represents local government.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Debra C. Hampton to the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board to serve for a term expiring May 12, 2015.
- Debra C. Hampton, of Nicholasville, is a nursing executive and faculty member at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. She represents healthcare.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members the Advisory Board for Veterans’ Affairs to serve for terms expiring Sep. 25, 2014. The appointments are effective Sep. 26, 2011.
- Bobby L. Reynolds, of Wurtland, is a line crew supervisor at Kentucky Power Company. He represents American Veterans Organization.
- Micki King, of Lexington, is a retired United States Air Force Colonel. She represents veterans of foreign wars.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy:
- Leslie Kevin Priddy, of Smiths Grove, is a certified occupational therapist assistant at T.J. Samson Hospital. He represents licensed occupational therapists. The appointment replaces Dale E. Lynn, whose term has expired. Priddy shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2014.
- Scott A. DeBurger, of LaGrange, is an occupational therapist at Baptist Hospital Northeast. He represents licensed occupational therapists. The appointment replaces Kelly K. Nash, who has resigned. DeBurger shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 15, 2012.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Paul M. Wingate to the board to serve for a term expiring July 15, 2014.
- Paul M. Wingate, of Frankfort, is a consumer complaint analyst for the Attorney General’s Office. He represents citizens at-large.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Dwayne Dion Moorman to the Owensboro Community and Technical College Nominating Commission to serve for a term expiring April 15, 2015.
- Dwayne Dion Moorman, of Owensboro, is an attorney at Moore, Malone & Safreed. The appointment replaces Marcia K. Carpenter, whose term has expired.
The Governor has designated Wayne Foster as chair of the Commission
- Wayne Foster, of Philpot, is the CEO of Foster Enterprises.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following members to the Mining Board to serve for terms expiring April 10, 2015:
- Timothy C. Miller, of Madisonville, is a coal miner at Lode Star Energy Inc. He represents labor.
- Kevin L. Vaughn, of Sturgis, is the director of safety and training at Warrior Coal LLC. He represents management.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Bonita Tapp Chandler to the Henderson Community College Board of Directors to serve for a term expiring April 24, 2017.
- Bonita Tapp Chandler, of Providence, is a retired legal assistant and TAC practitioner. The appointment replaces Marcia W. Eblen, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed William Cassidy Wilson, III, to the board to server for a term expiring April 24, 2017.
- William Cassidy Wilson, III, of Henderson, is an attorney at Neal, Wilson & Clem.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Somerset Community College Board of Directors to serve for terms expiring Aug. 31, 2016:
- Glen Douglas Parkey, of Somerset, is a commercial banker at Citizens National Bank. The appointment replaces Gary K. Upchurch, whose term has expired.
- James Patterson, of Somerset, is an engineer at National Coal Operation. The appointment replaces Eric L. Dicken, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Water Well Certification Board to serve for terms expiring Aug. 16, 2014:
- Todd W. Mills, of Mayfield, is a geologist and driller at Chase Environmental Group Inc. He represents active members in the Kentucky and National Water Well Association. The appointment replaces Mark F. Sweet, whose term has expired.
- David A. Jackson, of Lexington, is a geologist at the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection. He represents the Energy and Environment Cabinet. The appointment replaces Peter Goodmann, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed the following members to the Kentucky Public Transportation Infrastructure Authority:
- Michael R. Walker, of Sebree. He represents citizens at-large. The appointment replaces Nelda Barton-Collings, who has resigned. Walker shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 1, 2011.
- Steve Austin, of Henderson, is the mayor of Henderson. He represents mayors. The appointment replaces Elaine N. Walker, who has resigned. Mayor Austin shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 1, 2013.
