Dixie Heights School carnival to support troops | Events
EDGEWOOD, KY (FOX19) - The Student Council at Dixie Heights has organized a school carnival on Sunday, March 3 from 2pm to 5:30pm in the gym.
A variety of Dixie Heights clubs and organizations are sponsoring games and other activities. There will be a raffle where some lucky individualswill get the opportunity to put a pie in the face to Dr. Kim Banta, Assistant Superintendent; Lafon Benton, Associate Principal at Dixie Heights; Sheriff Charles Korzenborn, Kenton County Sheriff; and Chief Anthony Kramer, Chief of Police, Edgewood, KY.
Admission is the event is $3 per person. Groups of four people are $10; each additional person is $3. Tickets to play games and activities can be purchased along with tickets to take chances on raffle items. There will be a silent auction with items donated from the community.
Dixie Heights special needs students, in conjunction with other Dixie students will work together to produce a school wide service learning project where proceeds generated from the carnival will be used create care packages for the soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division out of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky who are serving in Afghanistan.
