Independence FOP hosts fleeing felon obstacle course run

INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - The Independence Fraternal Order of Police didn't chase fleeing felons during an obstacle course run Saturday at Lincoln Ridge Park.

Groups of 15 took off for the Fleeing Felon Run. The run is about three-miles long and includes 13 obstacles. Participants must be able to run, climb, crawl and lift.

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Redwood school.

The event will also include concessions, a band and disc jockey, and an opportunity to battle with a heavily padded pole training weapon, called a pugil sticks.
