FOX19's Jessica Brown hosts NAACP of NKY luncheon | News
NEWPORT, KY (FOX19)- The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People of Northern Kentucky held its 9th annual luncheon in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday.
FOX19's Jessica Brown was the emcee for the event.
The event was held at the Newport Syndicate, with Hamilton County Judge Fanon Rucker serving as the keynote speaker.
Students and community members in the Northern Kentucky area received scholarships from the NAACP at the event. Awards were presented to those working to keep MLK's legacy alive.
Tickets for the event raised funds for Northern Kentucky NAACP scholarships.
