Covington man crashes after leading State Trooper on high-speed chase | News

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - The Ohio State Patrol is investigating the pursuit of a suspect that ended with a crash in the City of Springdale.
A trooper stopped a gold Chevy Impala on Wednesday just before 2:30 a.m. for driving without headlights near Mulhauser in Fairfield.
As the trooper approached the driver side door, Cameron Avery, 24, took off.
Avery, from Covington, KY, lead police on a high speed chase on state route 4.
He lost control and was ejected from his vehicle after crashing into a light pole near the westbound 275 exit ramp.
Avery's vehicle caught fire and Springdale Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
He was transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
